Diomedes (1) Greek Son of Tydeus and successor
of Adrastus as king of Argos. Diomedes
sailed against Troy in the Trojan War, and was, next
to Achilles, the bravest of the Greeks. The war goddess
Athene favored him.
Diomedes (2) Greek A son of Ares; king of the
Bistones in Thrace. Diomedes raised maneating
mares, which Heracles carried off and tamed after
he killed Diomedes and fed him to the mares.
