Essay English : In Arthur Miller’s play “All my sons”, Joe Keller is a hero in his family and in the neighborhood even if he did some very awful things.

from the penitentiary the kids got very interested in me”, this means that other kids like him.
In a word, Joe is
loved by his neighborhood kids because he symbolized for them the brave man who fight for justice against
robbers and bad people.
At the end of the play Joe commits a suicide, that comes from the revelations of Larry's letter.
He understand
that his son killed himself because of him, Joe seems to be guilty and this pain that he feels destroys him.
Everything he worked for, all the sacrifices that he mades, were as reduced to nothing.
So he's a hero because
he commits this suicide to fix his family, he thinks that this act could help them to continue to live, he's brave.
This shows how deep is his devotion for his family.
Kate says to Chris at the end of the play : “KATE: Don't,
dear.
Don't take it on yourself.
Forget now.
Live”, it shows that in a certain way Kate have already forgive her
husband, she asks his son to live because he have a bright future ahead..
