Is there anyone in this classroom who has never eaten at
McDonalds? Of course, no, this fact seems obvious, because times have
changed since the days of the small Californian restaurant of the
MacDonald’s brothers.
the company has become a trans national
corporation, present everywhere and for everyone.
The main story begin
in 1940 with two brothers who invent the fast food modern concept
without waiters, with new logistic process for a food preparation prepared
in 90 seconds, the success was there, and a distributor of Milk-shake
machine named Raymond Kroc deal with brothers and open the first
franchise, In 1955 he scams mcdonalds brothers and he became a
founder of the company by purchasing share of 2,7$ millions, Now it is the
biggest restaurant chain in the world serving over 69 million customers
daily in over 100 countries across 40.031 outlets as of 2021.
In this presentation, we will explore why and how McDonald's has
globalized.
One of the primary reasons behind McDonald's global expansion is to
increase its market share and profitability.
The company wanted to
replicate its success in the US in other countries by offering affordable,
convenient, and standardized food options.
McDonald's has successfully
expanded its business globally by adapting to local markets, maintaining
standardization, and using franchising as a key strategy.
McDonald's started its global expansion in the 1960s by opening
restaurants in Canada, Puerto Rico, and Europe.
In the 1970s, McDonald's
expanded to Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
In the 1980s and 1990s,
McDonald's continued to expand its global presence, particularly in Latin
America and Eastern Europe.
The company's expansion was driven by its
ability to adapt its menu and marketing strategies to suit local tastes and
preferences.
For example, in India, McDonald's offers a range of
vegetarian options due to the country's large vegetarian population.
In
Japan, McDonald's offers the Teriyaki Burger, which has been a popular
menu item since its introduction in 1990.
Despite adapting to local markets, McDonald's has maintained a high
degree of standardization across its global locations.
This allows the
company to ensure consistent quality and efficiency, which is key to its
success.
Standardization also ensures that customers receive the same
experience no matter where they are in the world.
McDonald's has
achieved this through its extensive training programs....
