The positive discrimination is set of mesures which allows some inegalities to be put right. It promotes an ethnic group or racial over others, even if it means breaking more or less temporary the first article of the Declaration of Human rights : "All men are created egal"
In first hand, this measure seems to have a lot of contradictory points in my opinion.
This measure is definitively in the favor of disadvantaged population. A financial help will offer to this minorities a Hope of better futur with descent studies and accomadations. Also the reduction of inegalities will reduce the risk of riots and social unrest in the same time. The revolution of the arabic world illustrates perfectly this statement.
However, too much help can kill the society. A society can not work if a part of the population is partisan of a wait-and-see policy. Helping too much the minorities may upsets the majority, which is not a solution in other hand. This is inconceveible to introduce in our social system a right which put someone over someone else. It is in total contradiction with the egality idea therefore some mean people could say " He succeed only because he has been help and not because he is actually better than me", even if the person is a deserving one.
I do not want to become an affirmative action activist because I have no certainty that it is for the good of the society. If I am involved in a cause, I have to be sure that it will really change the world, else this is needless.
