This sentence in fact originates and has been quoted from the account of an English professor who once wrote the words ‘Woman without her man is nothing’ on the blackboard and asked his students to punctuate it. The boys in the class wrote: ‘A woman, without her man, is nothing’, the girls wrote: ‘Woman: without her, man is nothing’. A woman is an important element in a man’s life, and features in it in such a way that man would find it hard to survive in this world. If women didn’t exist, then men simply wouldn’t be. Women are crucial to humanity, as they are the only one of our two distinctive human kinds that can get pregnant, and consequently create new life. Men wouldn’t be here without women, Adam would be the only exception. Therefore life wouldn’t exist if the world was womanless. Humanity wouldn’t be able to prolong its course, and it would extinct within less than a century.

Nowadays the most common scenario of families can be described as men working by having a job in order to earn money to satisfy the family’s needs, and women staying at home in order to maintain it and to take care of the children. Working husbands usually don’t have time on their hands to take care of everything. If women weren’t here to accomplish this job of being a wife and a full-time mother, then men would have a huge amount of work to do. Taking care of children is an enormous responsibility and requires a lot of attention and time. This is why mothers in most families don’t have a real job, because being a mother features so many things that it can equally be considered as a job. So technically, if women weren’t here, then men would have to assume having a double job, and would struggle their way through life. In most families, or in couples, women are usually the ones that do the household work. They are the ones who cook and wash, which are basic things that many men don’t actually know how to perform. The percentage of families where men do the household work in the United States is estimated to be of around 21%, or, in other words, a fifth of American families. This confirms to us that if women weren’t here, most men would have to do this job on top of their actual one, which would require more time, skills and energy.

Mark Twain, an American writer, was once asked to answer this question: \"What would men be without women?” and answered: \"Scarce, sir, mighty scarce.” Scarce is the definition of something being finite and unavailable in sufficient quantities. Mark Twain emphasizes the hypothesis of human reproduction in his statement. He also implies that men’s lives would be empty without women. So we could argue that life would get a lot more boring if women didn’t exist. Men need women in their life, to give themselves some goals. Women are a man’s reason to live. A world where everything is about sports and work and eating and all that... how depressing would that be. Men need women to entertain them, to give themselves some objectives. If women weren’t here, then men would have no reason to live.

It is well known that men’s greatest satisfaction is produced as a result of their interaction with a woman during the sexual act. Men need women to satisfy their sexual needs. If there were no women on the planet, humanity would come to extinction, but the world would also be full of homosexuals. We could argue that this could also provoke men to do things that are considered insane, and contradictory to the Bible. The world would simply be wrong without women.

If women didn’t exist, men would not have the capability and the chance to find love. Love is said to be the strongest emotion that a person can experience. Considering 1-8% of the world’s population is gay, without women, more than 90% of the world’s population would not be capable of finding love, which is a shame.

On the other hand, we could argue that some social problems such as prostitution wouldn’t exist if women didn’t either, or would be lowered down to a very small number.

Women take an imposing and important part in men’s lives and future. Without them humanity would extinct, everyday life would be a hustle, life would get tiring, uninteresting and unsatisfying and the sensation of love would not be able to be found. Women are thus essential to men to their well-being and to their existence and, without them, men would be nothing, in every ways of this term.

Rationale

In this essay I have used my inspiration and some facts to demonstrate how a man’s life would be without the existence of woman in it. I have written about and observed the consequences of the non-existence of women in the world, as well as in a man’s common life. My aim was to argue as much as possible on the fact that women form an essential part of a man’s life and how he wouldn’t be able to live or/and cope with his life if she wasn’t there for him or if she simply didn’t existed. I have written four distinctive paragraphs of varied lengths on four different subjects about the importance of woman, which I estimated were the most relevant. I used a narrative tone, did not aim to try and convince the reader, but simply offered an anecdote of what I personally thought of the relevance of woman in a man’s life.
