My favourite room is my bedroom. I love it because it is the only room in my house where I can lock myself away from the rest of the world. After a long school day, all I want to do is go up to my cozy bedroom and also listen to some calm music, or lie down, relax and watch a bit of T.V. This room is very special to me because I have inhabited it for over seventeen years: it is full of my personal possessions and it has been decorated with my two hands.
So what does this special room look like? Well, it's quite big, but not huge. It's big enough to hold a double bed, which leans against the burgundy wall of the room. In front of the window stands my desk with a bookshelf. On the other side of the room, in the corner, is positioned my wooden wardrobe.
My room is a bit untidy but fortunately I have a lovely cleaning lady. My television and DVD recorder are on a shelf just next to my bookshelf. Also on this shelf, there is a selection of my favourite films: 500 days of summer, Hancock and The Illusionist. My stereo stands on the same self. Scattered around the room. I have photos of my friends and family. These photos bring back memories of happy times spent.
My bedroom is the main room of my house for me and my friends. We are always sitting in my bed, talking about everything and also gossiping. There has never been a moment of boredom, we always find something to do like listen to music and turn it up until my mom knocks on the door and shout to calm down a bit.
I believe that other people feel the same way about their rooms; it gives people a sense of security in a way that you can control what goes in your room and who goes in your room.
