Constable Riggs was preoccupied because he didn’t find every girls he should have driven from the desert to Melbourne. The law was very strict about his job and he was maybe going to be retrograded. So, he looked at Molly and Gracie and decided that he had to ask them.
« Molly, Daisy, listen to me. I know you’re tired but I want to learn where the girl named Gracie is. Nobody will be informed that you told me. Moreover, i’m charged to find your new familly and maybe we could make an arrangement if you want a special kind of people. » he said .
Daisy didn’t understand what Mr. Riggs was asking for, that’s why she glanced at her friend and expected her answer.
« How can you suggest us that deal ? Gracie will be not a victim of our betrayal. If you want to find her it’s your problem. I’m not the one who will disgrace my familly. » she replied.
Molly whispered she wanted to escape and Daisy was wondering about the consequences of being opposed to Constable Riggs.
« It’s your own choice. But I don’t think Molly has the same point of view. You said you wanted to escape, and now you have the answer. Tell me where is Gracie. » he said calmly.
« Daisy, I’m sorry but I don’t want to come back to home. » she confessed.
« Molly, don’t do that ! » Daisy cried.
But it was too late, the girl has already done her choice.
