Campbell's Soup Can - - art. Campbell's Soup Can (1962) by American pop artist Andy Warhol is one of a number of virtually identical paintings done by the artist in the early 1960s. The cartoonlike image, flat and simplified, is characteristic of pop art. Warhol selected his subject matter from amongst images already present in popular culture or advertising, thereby keeping his work intentionally impersonal. © Andy Warhol Foundation/Corbis.
